O, Mother Gaia sang her song,
And in the ancient heavin' throng
Within the mountains sat her throne
The mighty city, Temadon!

Traveller journeying' far an' wide,
The traveller tramps along.
And as he takes the silken road
To Temadon he'll come.

Oh Temadon, where horses run
Along the ancient plains.
Where from the firs of ash tree stirs
The mighty wings of cranes.

O, Mother Gaia sang her song,
And in the ancient heavin' throng
Within the mountains sat her throne
The mighty city, Temadon!
Song of Temadon :)

Temadon is the capital of the Paln Province, a northern province of the country of Saran.

Lyrical notes:

:bulletred: 'O, Mother Gaia.../Within the mountains sat her throne' the city of Temadon itself is situated within a ring of mountains in a deep valley where the river Morka runs. In Paln legends, the story goes that the hero, Lankanamor, fought a mighty serpent in the valley: the serpent, with 8 heads, had been terrorising the local village and burning the surrounding forests with its firey tongue. Lankanamor prayed to Mother Gaia for strength, and was imbued with the strength of the Earth - Lankanamor then overcame the serpent with 8 heads by using Gaia's vines from the ground to subdue each head and cut them off in succession with a sword given to him by Gaia herself. In gratitude and honour of his good deeds, Gaia made a valley in the mountains, where no enemy could penetrate its thick walls, and laid her throne there for all of Lankanamor's descendants to proudly reign. Thus, the patron Deity of Temadon is Gaia.

The 'song' is likely a reference to the 'Hymn' of Gaia, in which she sang the valley into existence.

:bulletred: 'silken road' actually refers to the same road as the lullaby 'Silk Road Princess' - the silk road of Agrinum runs through the Paln province, with a large stop-point being at Temadon.

:bulletred: 'where horses run' the Paln province is famous for the cultivating and breeding of horses throughout the centuries, where a large body of its economic profit is made off of the tradign of horses. Many cultural and provincial events revolve around horses in the Paln Prince and in fact, a common saying in the Northern regions is 'a horse fit for Temadon' - meaning it's a damn fine horse. :)

:bulletred: 'mighty wings of cranes' during the spring, cranes are commonly seen in the skies of Temadon during migration. An old cultural practice in Paln province revolves around baking an oat cake with crushed mulberries in the centre and then throwing it high up into the air: if a crane catches it, it's a sign of good fortune and prosperity for the coming year.

8D I love putting in references only I'd understand...

ahem...

Ah, your songs sound so beautiful. I can envision the kingdom now (though probably not accurately :XD:)
