I've been working on larger canvas' *as far as digital painting is concerned* recently....my last picture, Renamon, was enourmous...and this one was 1280x600 something, which is pretty big for someone who works on A5 paper half the time...doesn't help though, that the scanner scans in things 3 times larger than they originally were....
ANYWAY
I wanted to work on my colouring style and lighting in particular, so this shadow dog was born. (*zelrox will know what it is xD)
I also wanted to work on my colouring style because I want to be like =GunnerRomantic I'm such a n00b xD
Pfft. Creepy? People have no taste in beautiful monstrosities.
I love how the teeth came out, however I think you should place more emphasis on the eye. Add a little more solid red lines around it (making a general shape of the eye, the eyeball, and the tear ducts, etc) so it looks like it's glaring into the viewer's soul.
I'm sure it's beautiful on the inside. But I think the outside is wicked as is.
I noticed you mainly use hard edge brushes. The only difference between your work and =GunnerRomantic's work that I can see is that they put more of a blur into things. Really, despite a lack of a few intricacies I'd say your work is comparable.
